Dr. Bailey appeared on TV 21’s Health Matters demonstrating the new self-ligating brace that shortens treatment time.

1. Decreased treatment time. The Self-Ligating Brace is a virtual friction-free bracket. This is very important because it is the friction that has to be overcome in all other orthodontic braces that slows tooth movement and increases treatment time.
2. Discomfort is greatly minimized. With traditional braces, we must overcome friction by increasing the forces with our orthodontic wires. The higher the force, the more discomfort you will feel.
3. Fewer appointments and time between appointments increased. With non-friction braces, we can take full advantage of new wire technology that delivers very gentle forces over longer periods of time. Therefore, because of increased efficiency of tooth movement, we can increase the appointment intervals from 6-8 weeks to 8-12 weeks.

Invisalign uses a series of nearly undetectable aligners instead of brackets and wires. So it is really hard for people to tell you’re wearing Invisalign, even up close. Invisalign can give you the smile you’ve always wanted without the braces you’ve always avoided.

Crystal Clear Sapphire Braces

For those patients that may not be a candidate for Invisalign, Dr. Bailey uses state-of-the-art clear braces. We do not use the less expensive plastic type that can stain.

The clear braces we use are called Inspire Ice. It is made of crystal clear sapphire and will not stain from any food or drink. The Inspire brace is ideal for those that are looking for the least noticeable brace.
